A single yard stump
Send a close view and a wider photo showing the surrounding yard. An approximate measurement helps us begin reviewing the request.
Single- and multiple-stump grinding across Greater Dayton. Send stump photos, approximate measurements and the access route for an estimate.

Grinding reduces the stump in place and produces wood chips. It is different from excavating the entire stump and root system. The size, ground conditions, access and finish you want all affect the work.
Depth, visible roots, chips and final ground condition are agreed before work. Buried services and private lines need to be identified appropriately before ground disturbance. Complete root removal and a ready-to-plant finish should not be assumed.
The route to the stump and the work area both need to be reviewed. Photos of gates, slopes, nearby structures and the ground around the stump help us assess the job.
Jobs are quoted individually. We aim to offer free estimates when practical and discuss any other estimating arrangement with you first.
No. Grinding targets the stump and agreed area; roots beyond that area may remain. Tell us how you plan to use the space so the scope can be discussed.
Confirm whether the chips stay, are moved within the property or are hauled away. Backfilling, soil and seeding are separate scope decisions, not automatic parts of grinding.
Send the clear opening width and photos of the route, including turns, slopes and soft ground. We confirm equipment access before accepting the job.
Yes. Tell us about known buried services, irrigation and invisible fencing near the work. Private lines may need separate locating; this must be addressed before grinding.
Stump size, gate access and your plans for the space help define the work before equipment arrives.
